Такая милая статья)) Не новая, но я сейчас прочитала, скаваилась вся)) Понимаю автора, мне почему-то тоже представлялось, что в реальном общении Том "crushingly charming"

There is no question that Tom Hardy is going to ‘be big’.
Arguably, he’s big already: after almost a decade in the acting business in which his highest-profile role was a veiny Romulan slaphead in the awful tenth Star Trek film, Hardy’s star has suddenly lurched upwards and he is now one of the most sought-after actors in Hollywood.
He has one major blockbuster under his belt (Inception), another (next year’s Batman sequel The Dark Knight Rises) on the way, and has BAFTA-baiting roles in both the mixed martial arts drama Warrior and the Cold War thriller Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.
The part that garnered the 33-year-old actor widespread attention within the industry was the title role in Nicolas Winding Refn’s 2008 biopic of the notorious prisoner Charles Bronson.
I met Hardy at the premiere after-party and was instantly smitten in the most pathetic, marshmallow-brained way imaginable. He was crushingly charming, warm yet somehow also distant, sparklingly witty and unexpectedly candid about his chequered past.
He was also so acutely and piercingly handsome that, when I went to the bathroom after our chat and caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror, I almost barked out loud in disgust.
Hardy’s often likened to Marlon Brando but he reminds me more of a young Robert De Niro; not so much taking on roles as mutating into them to the point where no Tom Hardy remains.
At last year’s BAFTA Film Awards he won the Orange Wednesday Rising Star Award – largely, you would imagine, off the back of his breakthrough mainstream role as the dream architect Eames in Inception.
The Rising Star Award is the only prize at the ceremony voted for by the general public. Tom Hardy has cinema-goers on his side. Critics adore him too (this one does, anyway).
By striking that impossible balance, of course he’s going to be big. Only one question remains. Just how big is he going to be?
